Learner Autonomy, Motivation and English Speaking Proficiency: A Study Among English Foreign Language Univerity Students in Nghe An

چکیده

It is well acknowledged that autonomy and motivation have significant effects on language acquisition performance. Despite considerable work in learning, the relationship between learners' autonomy, motivation, English speaking proficiency has not been sufficiently investigated. This article aims to explore link proficiency. 200 Foreign Language university students at Vinh were given questionnaires assess their developing abilities. The association was determined by comparing this data test scores. analysis of acquired findings revealed learners with lower grades reported being less independent than those better Similarly, results indicated a correlation levels. Some pedagogical implications thus should entail modifications instruction curriculum facilitate development learner motivation.
